5 WPCSG-Deutschland Cup

Strictly according to the rules of the Mother Stud Book, the Welsh Pony and Cob Society Wales, their daughter Society, the WPCSG hold their 5th Deutschland Cup Show on Saturday 27th of August 20011 on the grounds of the Riding Establishment “Burg Stammeln” in Elsdorf of Family Strerath.
Invited to this Show are all four Welsh Pony and Cob Sections and their Part-breds with their breeders and fans not only from Germany but also from neighbouring countries.
The WPCSG wishes, also with their yearly show, to contribute towards keeping the original substance of Welsh bloodlines and has been able to acquire for the in hand breeding classes the world renown Welsh expert Mr. G. Wyn Jones of the Nerwyn Stud in North Wales as Judge.
Mr. Jones is not only an Internationaly recognised Judge but also a very successful breeder, particularly of Welsh Mountain Ponies. He was also one of the last two Stud grooms responsible for the legendary Coed Coch Stud until its closure in 1977 and therefore brings with him priceless knowledge.
For the first time in the Deutschland Cup program will also be the traditional English Saddle Classes for both children and adults. Judging these classes will be Mrs Lynn Irnich of the Sadiqui Stud. English born but having lived in the Rhineland for some years now and today lives in Erfstadt. She is also a member of the WPCSG managing board.
The show will start at 09.00 hrs with the judging of the 1, 2, and 3 year old Junior breed classes. Then follows the classes for mares and separate classes for their foals. Lastly the classes for Stallions in their various sections.
In the afternoon will be the various championships ending with the show high light , the result of this years Deutschland Cup Winner , who will receive the worldwide coveted “Overseas-Medal” of the WPCS.
